Anxiety can be event driven or acute (short term) or chronic (long term). I work with you to locate where this comes from. Often anxiety is related to an emotional state the cause of which is not always readily identifiable. Fear on the other hand, is a response to an external threat. Knowing the difference can help us isolate how to treat this condition, so that you can live anxiety free.
Anxiety can have its roots in a number of different places - it can come from so many areas of life e.g.
• Developmental trauma
• Event trauma
• Social interactions
• Family system
• Physiological conditions - drugs & alcohol abuse
• Cultural issues
• Environmental stress
• Workplace stress
• Bullying etc.
If you have anxiety, the most immediate thing you can do to help yourself is make an appointment straight away. You do not have to suffer with anxiety - we can explore this together and find ways to reduce anxiety immediately, and then in the longer term work together to remove anxiety completely.
There are many ways to treat anxiety and we get to the heart of the matter so you can be peaceful again.
